Managing Notifications for Microsoft Teams

Summary

Learn how to set and adjust notifications for Microsoft Teams

Body

Description

Using the Teams app can lead to receiving a variety of notifications regarding chats, meetings, and calls. Having the Teams app on your mobile phone allows you to answer work concerns anytime, anywhere. This means that Teams is always on, even when you're at home. For mobile devices, the Teams "Quiet Hours" feature allows you to specify only the hours and days you want to be notified of new messages and calls.

Quiet hours/days for mobile

  1. Open the Teams app and click on the profile avatar on the top left.
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Select Block during quiet hours under the Block notifications menu in the middle of the screen.  Navigate through the options to set specific date and time preferences to turn off notifications during set times.
  4. For example: If you would like to only be notified from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, you would:  Turn on Quiet hours: set the Start for 5:00 p.m. and the End for 8:00 a.m. and turn on Quiet days: select Sunday, then Saturday.
