Overview
How to navigate ClerkChat, an SMS solution that integrates with both Salesforce and Microsoft Teams
Navigation
On the left hand side, you'll find the navigation pane.
- In the top section are your different functions
- In the middle are all of the phone numbers you have access to
- At the bottom, you'll find the gear to update your settings

Search
The search bar allows you to search any contacts, phone numbers, emails and even conversation content.
Activity
This is where you will find your activity feed for all numbers you are connected to
Contacts
In this section, you will be able to view all contacts, import contact, and manually add contacts
Lists
This is where you can create static or dynamic lists which are groups of contacts based on certain filter criteria.
- A static list will be used when you want to create a list that does not change, it pulls in contacts to the list from the filters applied
- A dynamic list will be used when you want a list to continue to be updated based on the filter criteria applied. For example, anytime a new contact is added to Salesforce or imported, based on the criteria, it will automatically be added to the list.
Campaigns
These are used to send bulk, blind texts to a group of contacts that are on a list. You will need to first create the list of contacts. This is helpful when you are texting a group mass communication such as campus closure, new parking guidelines, request for participation for an event or project,etc.
Templates
Templates is where you can create standardized text messages. In this section, you will name the template, enter the body of the text message and add any attachments. There is a mobile friendly preview pane to the right where you can preview your message.

Analytics
You can view message analytics for outgoing and incoming messages. You can look at a specific time frame, inbox, member, and even campaigns.
Phones
In the middle section, you will see any phone numbers you have access to. Within each phone number, you can see the incoming and outgoing messages connected to that phone number, similar to on your mobile device. This is also where the settings and membership are managed. You can also mark all messages as read, archive them or mute the channel.
Settings
In the gear at the bottom of the left-hand navigation pane is where you can update your profile and signature. Many of the other options/features in this section is managed by HCOM OMET.
