Overview
How to create a group of contacts into a list in ClerkChat. Lists are used for campaigns. There are two types of lists that can be created; Static and Dynamic.
- A Static list is a group of contacts created at the point in time when you create the list, it will not change unless manually updated
- A Dynamic list is a group of contacts that continues to change as the filter criteria is met.
Create a List - Static
To create a list, go to 'Lists' in the left navigation pane, then select 'Create a List' in the top right-hand corner and select 'Static List'.

Use the search bar to search for the names of each contact and add them to the list.

Create a List - Dynamic
To create a list, go to 'Lists' in the left navigation pane, then select 'Create a List' in the top right-hand corner, select 'Dynamic List'

From here, you can select filter criteria that exists based on the properties of the Contacts. You can create one or more filters to apply to the list. You can update these filters or recalcuate the outcomes at any point in time by selecting the list to open and update it.

You can see in this same section a couple of system lists; Opt out list and Block list. Y
Search for a contact within Lists
In the search bar of lists, you can enter a contacts name and see what lists they are part of. You can also search for the name of a list.
Export a List
For any list, you can export it as a csv. On the far right side of the list record, you can select 'Export as CSV'

Delete a List
To delete a list, to the far right side of the list record, you can select the trash can to delete the list. This only deletes the list, it does not delete the contacts associated.

Send a campaign to a list
To send a campaign to a list of contact, you can select the send a campaign icon to the far right side of the record.
