How can reports be useful to faculty?

Reports for activities within Learning Space can show a faculty member both individual and group performance feedback. Faculty may find this useful for an individual prior to meeting with a student for additional assistance. The group performance reports can give faculty a glimpse into strengths and weaknesses of the entire class throughout a given activity.

How to access reports for an activity in Learning Space

1. Log into Learning Space: https://ctac.hcom.ohio.edu

2. Click on the Reports link next to the Activity in the Current Activities list on the Learning Space home page.

3. By default, the Reporting page always opens on the "Responses" tab. Click on the "Preset Reports" tab to view pre-made reports provided by Learning Space.

4. Several options will be available via columns of links. The left column will be Group Performance, the center column Individual Performance, and the right column Test Activity Management.

5. The Case Item Analysis will show the class averages for each section and each question item. The faculty will see the number of correct/incorrect responses, as well as a percentage of how many students received or did not receive credit for each item.

6. Scroll down to navigate through the various portions of the activity, from the Standardized Patient feedback through the video and SOAP feedback provided by the faculty. The SOAP portions are minimized by default. Click on the highlighted blue bars for the SOAP portion to view feedback on the SOAP note section.

7. Group Performance Review and Group Performance Review by Section are very similar, but have one distinct difference. "Group Performance Review" will display scores for each student and each part of the encounter. The "by Section" option will NOT show scores for sections that do not factor into the overall score for the activity. Oftentimes the SP portion of the case does not factor into the case scoring, for example.

8. To view an individual student's checklist, faculty must first select the student name from the Learner drop down menu. Once a name is selected, faculty may click on the "Individual Checklist" link at the top of the middle column to access the student's feedback.

9. Scroll down to navigate through all sections of the student's feedback.

10. Selecting the Grade Report option in the middle column will display the individual student's scores for each section, as well as the class averages.
