Overview

This article describes how to schedule tests using the feature that allows you to trigger exams based on student rotation schedules.  When using this feature, it allows you to schedule exams X amount of days before the student's rotation begins.

A few things to consider...

This applies to both

  1. Didactic>Examn>Tests
  2. Didactic>Examn>Advanced>Auto Random Tests

There are two ways to schedule when using this feature -

  1. By Student (default setting)
    1. This feature walks you through selecting all or individual students in a specific section.  When using this method, it will schedule tests for only the students selected. If the student is removed from the section roster, it will automatically remove the test. If a student is added to the section roster after the exam is scheduled, it will NOT trigger an exam. (see By Section if that is the desired functionality)
  2. By Section
    1. This feature walks you through selecting all students in a specific section. When using this method, it will schedule tests for the students currently enrolled and will also automatically trigger tests to students added to the section after the test has been scheduled. When a student is removed from the section, it will automatically remove the scheduled test.

How to use

  1. Navigate to Didactic>Examn>Tests or Didactic>Examn>Advanced>Auto Random Tests
  2. Select the test>Schedule
  3. Modify the Schedule Group if needed
  4. Select the box for "Make available based on student schedules" under "Schedule-Based Availability"
  5. Select the number of days the test should become available BEFORE the student schedule starts. You can also adjust the test to end X amount of days AFTER the student schedule ends
  6. Make any other adjustments for Time Limit and Security
  7. On the Student tab, select either By Student (default) or By Section (please see previous section for more details)
  8. Once the students have been selected, proceed with the next few tabs to adjust settings for Test Display, Test Review, Retakes, Attestation and Feedback
