What is Passkey?
Passkey is a digital credential in which students may enroll for authentication into Ohio University systems. Instead of typing a password to log into a system, Passkey sends an authentication push to the user's cell phone that is confirmed through Microsoft Authenticator. Passkey and Learning Space
Passkey presents an issue with access to Learning Space during scheduled CTAC activities. Students are not permitted to have their phones with them during patient encounters. When a student leaves the room and attempts to log into Learning Space for documentation, an authentication push will be sent to the user's phone.
Who Is Affected?
Any student who has enrolled in Passkey will be affected by this login issue during CTAC activities.
Bypassing Phone Authentication
Use the following steps to bypass Passkey authentication and use your Ohio user name and password for system access.
1. Upon attempting to log in, the following message will appear prompting the user for their phone to authenticate.
2. At the bottom of that message, click on the blue link that reads, "Sign in another way."
3. On the menu that displays, click "Use password." This will allow the user to avoid authentication using their phone and instead use their user name/password to access Learning Space.
4. Upon logging into Learning Space using their Ohio account login information, students may navigate Learning Space and complete documentation.
