Displaying Canvas Information

To display Canvas information in Go OHIO, students must first authorize Go OHIO to access their Canvas account.

  1. Select the Canvas tile from the Go OHIO home screen.
  2. Go OHIO will display a new screen that reads "Allow Canvas and Go OHIO to access your account." Select Authorize.
Image of screen prompt requesting use to "Allow Canvas and Go OHIO to access your account"
  3. The Canvas module will open and display information about the transition to Canvas, followed by the Canvas Quick View, which displays the user's personalized data, including courses, due dates, announcements, and inbox.

Outcome: Go OHIO should now display Canvas information every time a user logs into Go OHIO.

Canvas Quick View Options

Once Go OHIO has been authorized to display Canvas information, the Canvas Quick View will display the following information in widgets:

  • Due Dates
  • Current Courses
  • Announcements
  • Inbox (displays Canvas messages only; does not display emails from Catmail)

Please Note:

  • Selecting View all links or any individual item in a widget will open the Canvas Student app on a mobile device (or prompt you to download the Canvas Student mobile app if not already installed). When accessing Go OHIO on a web browser, links will open within canvas.ohio.edu
  • Canvas widgets will update every 15 minutes.
  • The "Due Dates" widget in the Go OHIO app refers to the same content displayed in your "To Do List" in canvas.ohio.edu.
