Accommodated Proctoring - Athens Campus

Description

Accommodated proctoring is exam supervision provided for students with accommodations approved through Student Accessibility Services. 

Who can access

  • OHIO faculty, staff, as well as students who are registered with Student Accessibility Services (SAS).

How to request access

Students

Follow the steps below to request an accommodated exam through OHIO Testing Services.

  • Step 1: No later than one week prior to your exam date, you must complete the student accommodated exam schedule form for each course during the semester. Each of your instructors are contacted upon submitting the accommodated exam schedule form, which will prompt your instructor to submit the exam information through RegisterBlast to OHIO Testing Services.  

  • Step 2: Schedule each exam no later than 24 hours before your exam date using the RegisterBlast exam schedule portal. Once scheduled, you will receive an email for the exam(s) that you scheduled through OHIO Testing Services. 

  • Step 3: Arrive at the Athens campus Testing Services, 42 West Union Street (Bromley Hall Lower Level, West Union Street entrance), with a photo ID at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled exam time.

Faculty

Once a student has made a request to take an accommodated exam through OHIO Testing Services, Faculty will receive an email with a link to submit exam and exam details for accommodated student(s) through OHIO Testing Services RegisterBlast system. Please follow the directions and complete this step as quickly as possible as students will not be able to schedule the exam until this is complete.

  • Student Accessibility Services (SAS) coordinates accommodations and connects students with disabilities to the most relevant campus resources. 

    • Accommodated proctoring is a service provided to students registered with Student Accessibility Services.

  • Examples of accommodations: extended time, reduced distraction location, reader/scribe, and/or breaks.

Additional information about OHIO Testing Services:

  • You will be monitored by video surveillance and computer software while testing.

  • All needed testing materials will be provided.

  • Secure lockers are provided for all personal items, including cell phones and smartwatches.

  • eBooks are not permitted in the Testing Center.

  • Only calculators approved for ACT testing will be permitted in the Testing Center. These calculators are NOT approved: TI Nspire CAS with touchpad, TI Nspire CX CAS, TI Nspire CX II CAS, TI Nspire CX II
