Note: Access to LastPass at Ohio University is granted to employees on a departmental basis. Departments wishing to utilize LastPass will incur a cost of $40 per license per year. Please submit a ticket to inquire about purchasing LastPass for your department.

Information for new users

• LastPass master passwords expire annually. 

• Multi-factor authentication is required for this service. 

• LastPass administrators can reset master passwords. 

• In order to access LastPass while abroad, it is required to sign into the Ohio University Virtual Private Network (VPN). 

• For optimal folder-sharing functionality, the LastPass browser extension is required. 

• When sharing folders within LastPass, ensure there are at least two administrators on the folder to prevent orphaned content. 

Personal and family benefits

• All OHIO employees who have access to LastPass can activate the Family as a Benefit package at no additional cost. Learn how to set up family access and manage family members.

Resource management

• Enterprise licenses will be deactivated when a user is no longer employed by Ohio University. Organizations may transfer licenses to other employees for the remainder of the activation period.
