Changes Coming to Blackboard Login Process

In order to begin the process of archiving our historical Blackboard data, as part of our Blackboard retirement project, we need to make a change to the way that you log into Blackboard.  This change will begin on June 25, 2025 and will continue until Blackboard is retired in June of 2026.  The change will impact how you log into Blackboard on all devices, including the Blackboard and Go OHIO mobile applications.

Description

To start archiving historical Blackboard data for our Blackboard retirement project, we need to make a change to the way that you log into Blackboard.  This change will begin on June 25, 2025 and will continue until Blackboard is retired in June of 2026.  The change will impact how you log into Blackboard on all devices, including the Blackboard and Go OHIO mobile applications.

Solution

Beginning on June 25, 2025 when you access https://blackboard.ohio.edu you will encounter a new login screen. Do not enter your username and password here.

1. Below Sign In, select Sign in with third-party account.
2. From the list, select Ohio University.

3. If prompted, sign in using your OHIO credentials

Note:  At this point, you will have the normal Ohio University login experience.
