Removing Proctortrack from your course

Proctortrack must be removed from Canvas quizzes before Proctorio can be added. Follow the directions to remove Proctortrack.

Description 

Proctortrack must be removed from Canvas quizzes before Proctorio can be added. Follow the directions below to remove Proctortrack. 

Environment 

PC and Mac

Solution  

Step 1: Remove from Exams (Required)

If Proctortrack is used in a quiz:

• Go to Quizzes

• Open the item

• Select Edit

• Remove the Proctortrack connection by updating or removing the External Tool setting (if enabled)

• Click Save

Step 2: Remove from Course Navigation (Optional)

• Go to Course → Settings → Navigation

• Locate Proctortrack

• Select the three dots → Disable (or drag to hidden items)

• Click Save

Important Clarification

• Removing Proctortrack from navigation does NOT disable it in exams

• Instructors must update each quiz or assignment where it is enabled

Outcome: Proctortrack is removed from quizzes and course navigation in Canvas.
