Enrolling in Passport to Canvas (Canvas Student Orientation Course)

Summary

Students are able to self-enroll in the Passport to Canvas (Canvas Student Orientation) course. This training is self-guided and allows you to stop when you need a break and pick back up where you left off.

Description

If you're a student, have an existing account in Canvas, and wish to enhance your understanding of using Canvas, consider enrolling in our Passport to Canvas Student Orientation Course. This course is self-paced and not led by an instructor. In it, you will learn: 

  • How to navigate Canvas 
  • How to navigate within a Canvas course 
  • How to access various communication tools, assignments, and quizzes 
  • How to view grades and feedback  
  • How to use the Canvas Student App

Canvas in your web browser or the Canvas Student app

Solution 

  1. Log in to Canvas at canvas.ohio.edu
  2. Visit https://ohio.instructure.com/enroll/KGH7KN
  3. Select Enroll in Course

Note: If you are unable to log into Canvas, that means you are not yet enrolled in a course that uses Canvas. You will not be able to enroll in the Passport to Canvas course until you have a Canvas account. 

Outcome: You should now be able to self-enroll in the Passport to Canvas Student Orientation course.

    • Dial the Canvas Support Hotline number located under "Get Help" in the Canvas Global Navigation Menu
