Sending and printing faxes on departmental printers and copiers

Learn how to use the XMediusFAX app on departmental printers or copiers to send and receive printed faxes.

Description

The XMediusFAX app allows select Sharp multi-function devices to send and receive printed faxes. XMediusFAX is a specialized service for departments that require high-volume fax printing capabilities. OHIO offers a free virtual fax service that is the most economical and sustainable way to send and receive faxes for many faculty and staff that should be considered before using XMediusFAX.

Solution 

Sending a fax

1. Place your sheet(s) face up in your Xerox machine's document feeder.

2. Select the XMediusFAX app on your Xerox's touch screen. 

   

    

3. Select the Fax Number field. Type the destination fax number using the on-screen number pad and press Done.  

   • Note: External numbers require 9 and 1 prior to the area code. 

     

4. Press Send.

Printing an incoming fax

Inbound Fax will automatically print on the device. 

 

Outcome: You should now be able to send an outgoing fax and print an incoming fax on a departmental printer or copier.
