What Is Osmosis?
Osmosis is a board exam and general study supplement available to HCOM faculty and students.
Accessing Osmosis
Use the following link to access Osmosis: https://www.osmosis.org/home/dashboard and access using your Ohio credentials.
Using Osmosis
1. Click on the menu (hamburger) button at top-left to display the dashboard main menu for Osmosis. You may also use the search box in the middle of the page to search for topics.
2. Click on "Videos" on the main menu to access all available videos for review. Topics are located on the left side of the page. Clicking the checkbox beside any video, then clicking the highlighted "playlist" button, will add the chosen video(s) to a playlist for quicker future access. Click on any video to play the video.
3. Click on "Flashcards" on the main menu to open the flashcards menu. Click on topics on the left to show all available subtopics. The number listed beside each topic is the number of flashcards for that topic. Click on all topics you wish to review and click "Build Quiz" at bottom-right to access the selected flashcards for review.
4a. Click on "Questions" in the main menu to access board prep questions in the Osmosis test bank.
4b. Select the topics you wish to review in the test bank. Click "Begin Quiz" at the bottom-right to begin the test questions.
5. Click on "Decks" in the main menu to access any saved flashcard decks.
6. Click on "Analytics" in the main menu to access the Analytics dashboard page. Click on a class group on the left side of the page to look at specific statistics for a class or individual student.
7a. General statistics for video playback, test questions, and flashcards can be viewed by scrolling down the page.
7b. Test questions and flashcard data will also show general statistics on accuracy, confidence, and time spent per question.
7c. Clicking on "View by learner" will show specific individual data regarding questions/flashcards answered, accuracy, and time spent. "View by learner" in the video statistics will display number of videos watched and total time spent watching videos in Osmosis.
