Touchless printing

  1. Install the Pharos App.

  2. Select your settings.

    1. Jobs will appear in the Pharos Print App. To change print options for a job, tap the job to select it, then tap Print Options.

      • IMPORTANT: By default, jobs are initially loaded into My Print Center/Pharos Print App for black and white, double-sided printing. To print in color or single-sided, you must select the Job and change its print options before releasing.

      • To see a preview of the printout, select the job then tap Preview.
  3. Print your document.

    1. Tap a job to select it to be printed. If no jobs are selected, then all the jobs displayed will print.

    2. Tap the QR code icon in the right corner of the yellow bar at the top of the app screen. QR code icon inside Pharos app.

    3. Image of yellow menu box for QR Code in Pharos Application.

    4. Scan the QR code sticker on the printer (the red line across the phone screen should cross the middle of the QR code).

    5. Tap Confirm.

    6. Your print job is now being sent to the printer. It may take a few moments to come out.

Troubleshooting

  • If the printer is asleep, it may take a few minutes for it to wake up and print the job and may appear non-responsive at first. You can wake the printer up before trying to print by pressing the power button.

  • If the printer was just turned on or restarted, it may take a few minutes before it can communicate with the app. If you get a printer is offline error message, wait a minute and try again (or try a different printer).

  • As always, if printing using My Print Center or the Pharos Print App is not working, try printing directly from a computer with OHIO pay-to-print queues installed and releasing via card swipe.
