Description

A Verizon hotspot provides temporary internet access using the cellular network when standard organizational connectivity is unavailable and is intended for short-term or backup use only. University faculty and staff may use a hotspot when working off-site, traveling, or during network outages or maintenance. All organizational security policies remain in effect, including the use of VPN and multi-factor authentication where required, and assistance is available through the IT Service Desk.

Cost

The cost to request and use a Verizon hotspot is billed monthly at $37.99 to your Ohio University departmental account number.
