You have been directed to this page because your computer's version of Microsoft Office is out of date and is no longer receiving basic security updates, or is no longer covered by our Microsoft license.
Please follow the instructions below to upgrade to the latest version of Office 365. The process should take about 20 minutes to complete. If you have any questions, contact the IT Service Desk.

Note: If you use Microsoft Project or Visio, you will need to purchase and install the latest version before you upgrade Office: Project Pro | Visio Pro.

Make sure your computer is connected to the OHIO network:

Open the Start Menu.

Choose All Programs > Microsoft System Center > Software Manager.

Choose MS Office 365 - User Licensed.

The upgrade could take up to 20 minutes to complete. Once Office finishes installing, open an Office application like Word or Excel and follow the prompts.

If you are asked to sign in, choose Sign in using my school or work account and use your full @ohio.edu email address and OHIO password.
Mac OS

Make sure your computer is connected to the OHIO network:

Under Applications, open Self Service.

Under Software, choose Office 365. If this installer is not visible, you may need to contact your departmental IT technician to enable it.

The upgrade could take up to 20 minutes to complete. Once Office finishes installing, open an Office application like Word or Excel and follow the prompts.

If you are asked to sign in, choose Sign in using my school or work account and use your full @ohio.edu email address and OHIO password.
Outcome: You should now have an up-to-date version of Office 365 on your device.
