Spirion First Time Use

Follow the below steps to configure a Spirion profile which will enable you to scan your computer's files, and remediate the findings.

  1. Open the Spirion App (located on your desktop, or can be found via search).
  2. Create and Remember Spirion Profile Password. This allows you to save and encrypt your findings. It is recommended to create a secure password that is different than your Ohio University login password. IMPORTANT: It is not possible to recover encrypted files.
  3. Select Next.
  4. Select OK on "Your Profile Password has been successfully set" screen.
  5. Proceed to Start a Basic Scan.

Returning User

  1. Enter Password and Click Next.
  2. Proceed to Starting a Basic Scan.
