Overview
How to request and gain access to ClerkChat. Current department users include CTRU, CTAC, Diabetes Institute, and Family Navigator for external stakeholder SMS communication.
Submit Request
Send email request to hcomtech@ohio.edu with user first name, last name, OHIO email address and phone number they need access to or if a new number needs seteup.
OMET Setup
- Verify phone number setup in ClerkChat
- To check if a number exists, go into Clerk Chat application, Settings gear at the bottom and then 'Phones' in left navigation pane.
- If a new phone number needs added, submit a request to ClerkChat, support@clerk.chat, requesting the number addition to our account. Once the number is setup, then you can proceed with adding the user. The number should now appear in the Phones section of Clerk Chat.
- OMET Administrators go in ClerkChat, select the 'Settings' gear in the bottom of the left navigation pane.
- Go to 'Members' in the left navigation pane
- Select 'Add Member' in the top right hand corner
- Enter Invite a member details
- OHIO email
- Select role - at minimum all end users will be an Agent, Directors/Managers will be Managers
- Choose a phone number they will be associated with, you can select one or more.
- You will then see the user appear in the 'Pending Invitations' section. If you need need to revoke or resend and invite, you can click on the ellipsis next to the user and send.
User Invitation
The user should receive an email to accept the invite, their account setup is not complete until they do this. If they do not see the email, have them check their junk mail.
Salesforce
For users that may be using ClerkChat within Salesforce, be sure to go to their user record and add the Permission Set "Clerk Chat Tab"
