Overview
Templates are standardize SMS communications you can setup in advance to send to recipients.
Create a new Template
To create a new template go to 'Templates' in the left navigation pane, then select 'Add Template' in the top right-hand corner.
- Name your template
- You can choose to make it personal, if you do, then other users cannot see it to use it
- Add attachments if applicable
- Write the body of your message, you can insert emoticons or variables
- Variables are data elements that are part of the contact record that you can pull into your text message. For example, you can type Dear and then insert the name of the contact from the variables so it dynamically pulls that information into the text.
- Variables are only available based on the properties setup on the contact record. If you need to add a new variable, go to the knowledgebase article, Article - How to add new property/fie..., on how to do that.
- The template should auto save as you are creating it
