This One Drive File or Folder is No Longer Accessible

Why you're seeing this page:

You’re seeing this page because the OneDrive account that owns this file is no longer active.
This page appears for anyone who tries to access the file, even if you are not the owner of the file.

Who has access to OneDrive:

OneDrive access is available only to currently enrolled students.
If the file owner is an alumni or former student who is no longer enrolled, their OneDrive access is removed. When that happens:

  • Files stored in their OneDrive are no longer accessible
  • Any previously shared links or permissions stop working
  • An email is sent to the file owner’s school email address
    • Their OneDrive access will be removed
    • Their OneDrive data will be deleted after the retention period

What this means for you:

If you’re trying to access a file that was shared with you:

  • The file owner’s OneDrive account is no longer accessible
  • The file may be deleted or scheduled for deletion per retention policy
  • Even if you previously had access, the file cannot be opened once the owner’s account is deactivated
