Getting Started

• Intro & Import- NVivo allows you to identify themes within your data and bring together all the content related to those themes from all your data sources. Before you can code your data files, you have to import them into an NVivo project.

• Organize - With your data in NVivo, you can begin coding. NVivo offers memos, annotations, and cases (for demographic data) to organize your data.

• Explore- NVivo offers a word frequency query to allow users to see which terms come up the most in research, as well as an attribute chart that creates a graph in order to rapidly see people’s opinions on a specific issue.
