How to install the appropriate AirMedia app on Mac OS in an AirMedia-equipped classroom projector or flat-panel display

Install AirMedia
To connect to an AirMedia-equipped classroom projector or flat-panel display, you will need to install the appropriate Mac OS app.
Before you begin with the AirMedia, verify which version of macOS you are running.
- Go to your Apple Menu and choose About This Mac.

Make a note of your macOS version number.
- Enter the IP address from the AirMedia display in the room into your Internet browser.
- If you wish to install the app ahead of time:
- Unmanaged or personally-owned Mac
- Managed Macs,
- Airmedia" is available to install from the Self Service application.
- Download the Client for Mac.
- Open and run the app.
- Follow the prompts to install the app into the Applications folder.
Note: Steps 1-3 above only need to be done once to install the app onto the laptop. Once the app is installed, the steps below will need to be taken each time to begin screen mirroring.
- From the Applications folder or the launchpad, open the AirMedia app.
- Enter the IP address of the display located in the bottom left corner.
- Select the arrow.
- Enter the code shown on the screen.
- Select the Control Center icon in the Menubar.
- Select Screen Mirroring.
- From the menu, choose the device you wish to connect to.
- Enter the code again.
- Enter the IP address from the AirMedia display in the room into your Internet browser.
- If you wish to install the app ahead of time:
- Unmanaged or personally-owned Mac,
- Managed Macs,
- Airmedia" is available to install from the Self Service application.
- Once installation is complete, open and run AirMedia.
- Follow the prompts to install the app into the Applications folder.
Note: Steps 1-3 above only need to be done once to install the app onto the laptop. Once the app is installed, the remaining steps will need to be taken each time to begin screen mirroring.

Open the AirMedia app from the Applications folder or the Launchpad.
- The application should show any nearby displays it discovers.
- When the application opens, enter the IP address of the display located in the bottom left corner.
- Then press the arrow.
- Enter the code shown on the screen.
- Select AirPlay in the menubar at the top of your screen
- Select the IP address of the room’s AirMedia connection.
- When finished, in the system bar, select the AirPlay
- Select Turn AirPlay Off to stop sharing your screen.
Outcome: You should now be able to install the Air Media app and use the app to connect to a classroom projector or flat panel display.
