Description
Devices using the 802.11ax Wi-Fi card could be slow or non-responsive. Not all devices utilize this Wi-Fi card.
Environment
Windows 11
Solution
- Go to the start menu and type in Network Connections.
- Select View Network Connections Control Panel to open the Network Connections dialog box.
- Select the appropriate Wi-Fi network card from the open dialog box.
- A Wi-Fi Status dialog box will open.

- Select Properties.
- A Wi-Fi Properties dialog box will open.
- Select Configure.
- A new dialog box will open, the name and properties of your device's Wi-Fi card will display at the top.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Under property select 802.11ax/ac/n/abg.
- Under value un-select 802.111ax and then choose either 802.11ac/n/ or 802.11a/b/g.

- Select OK.
