Below is a list of those anticipated software applications, descriptions, link and quick start guides that you may encounter as an employee of Heritage College:

  • eMedley​​​​​​
    • eMedley is our comprehensive learning management system. During both the pre-clinical and clinical years, eMedley will be the primary source for course content and materials, testing and assessment, scheduling, evaluations and experience tracking. You will use your OHIO credentials to login.

  • Blackboard
    • Blackboard is the Ohio University learning management system. This may be used for some courses in years 3/4.

  • Salesforce
    • Salesforce is utilized for many different functions; Recruitment, Admissions, Student Progress & Retention, Faculty LIfecycle Management & Workload Tracking, Preceptor Credentialing, Affiliation Agreements, and Community Health Program Tracking. HCOM Employees do not automatically have access to Salesforce backend administration, this is requested by your supervisor. You will use your OHIO credentials to login.

  • Salesforce Faculty Portal
    • The Salesforce faculty portal is different from above, all HCOM faculty have access to this portal to update information, view workload tracking and submit teaching activity forms. You will use your OHIO credentials to login.

  • LearningSpace
    • Learning Space is a medical education and simulation management program that is used primarily in the Clinical Training and Assessment Center (CTAC). Learning Space is used to record standardized patient and simulation encounters, as well as to provide the learner feedback from standardized patients and faculty members. Student documentation (SOAP notes) are also entered into Learning Space following patient encounters. At the conclusion of a lab activity, feedback to students is accessible via Learning Space. You will use your OHIO credentials to login.

    • Aperio is a digital microscope program that enables students to examine histology slides assigned to them by instructors. Note, this is currently only used by OMS2 students.
