How to access VDI using your Windows device.

Solution 
Managed Windows Machines:
A managed computer refers to a computer that requires an OHIO log-in to access the computer.
	- 
	
Open Company Portal via the Windows button.
	 
	- 
	
Search and install Omnissa Horizon Client.
	 
	- 
	
When the installation finishes, you may be asked to restart your machine.
	 
	- 
	
Launch Omnissa Horizon Client: Double-click the desktop icon or use Start Menu.
	 
	- 
	
Select Add Server and enter mydesktop.ohio.edu as the Connection Server name. 
	
	 
Unmanaged Windows Machines:
An unmanaged computer refers to a computer that does not require an OHIO log-in to access the computer. 
	- 
	
Download and install Omnissa Horizon Client for Windows from Omnissa's client download site by clicking 'Go to Downloads' under the Windows section.
	 
	- 
	
On the next page click Download Now
	 
	- 
	
When the installation finishes, you may be asked to restart your machine.
	 
	- 
	
After the installation, launch the Omnissa Horizon Client desktop app by double-clicking its desktop shortcut icon or by going to the Windows Start Menu and choosing Omnissa Horizon Client.
	 
	- 
	
Select Add Server and enter mydesktop.ohio.edu as the Connection Server name.
	
	 
Outcome: You will be able to access VDI from the Horizon client installed on your Windows device.
