Overview
Change Requests are submitted when information about a Preceptor changes and needs to be updated in related systems. This article explains how to submit a change request and how they are processed.
How to Submit a Change Request
- Navigate to the Preceptor's contact record in Salesforce.
- Select the 'Performance' tab.

3. Scroll down to the 'Feedback' section and click 'New'.

4. A new window will appear. Please fill out the below fields.
- 'Category' = Change Request
- 'Submitted By' - will most likely be 'Preceptor' or 'Self Report'
- 'Date Received'
- 'Change Request Type': This is a multi-select picklist, select all that apply. Options are below
- Board Status
- Clinical Education Site
- E-Mail
- Employer Change
- Location
- Promotion Request
- Rotation Request
- Status
- Title
- 'Change Request Details' - This is where you provide additional details about what needs updated.
5. Click 'Save'.
How to Process a Change Request
- From the E-Mail received, open the link to the Change Request Record.
- Review the request and update the Preceptor's information accordingly.
- Upload any supporting documentation to the 'Notes & Attachments' section of the record.
- Once complete, update the 'Change Request Status' field to 'Completed.'
- Click 'Save'.
