Description
To start archiving historical Blackboard data for our Blackboard retirement project, we need to make a change to the way that you log into Blackboard. This change will begin on June 25, 2025 and will continue until Blackboard is retired in June of 2026. The change will impact how you log into Blackboard on all devices, including the Blackboard and Go OHIO mobile applications.
As part of Ohio University's Blackboard Retirement initiative, academic courses taught between Summer 2019 and Summer 2025 in Blackboard will be retained in a secure third-party archiving platform, K16, until June 2028. Please review the purpose of the archive and the process of requesting access to archived course materials when submitting a ticket.

Solution
Beginning on June 25, 2025 when you access https://blackboard.ohio.edu you will encounter a new login screen. Do not enter your username and password here.
- Below Sign In, select Sign in with third-party account.
- From the list, select Ohio University.
- If prompted, sign in using your OHIO credentials
Note: At this point, you will have the normal Ohio University login experience.
