Description
Secure, high-speed, on-campus Network Attached Storage (NAS) that can be mapped to a Windows network drive, mounted on a Mac via Command-K or accessed from off-campus locations via the VPN. Default quotas for individuals on home.ohio.edu are 20 GB. Departmental quotas on shared.ohio.edu are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Access
The directions below outline how to log in depending on the type of device you are using.
Windows

If you are connecting from off-campus, make sure you enable Campus VPN before continuing.

Enter the appropriate address into the "Run" (Windows 7) or "Search the web and Windows" box (Windows 10):

If prompted, enter your OHIO ID and password

Your folder will open in a file explorer window
Mac OS

Who can access

Home folders: Current employees, current graduate students, retirees.

Shared folders: By departmental request. Access to an existing shared folder is subject to approval by that folder's departmental data owner(s).
How to request access
Individual folders
- No request is needed. Folders on home.ohio.edu are issued automatically based on your role at the University.
