Azure Multi-Factor Token Request

Description

Azure MFA tokens are a physical device that generates a code for users so that they may get through multi-factor authentication while enrolled in Azure MFA. This device is meant for users who do not have a phone or smart device that they can use for authentication. Exceptions may be made depending on the requesting user's case.

Access

Who can access

  • Faculty/staff: All may request

  • Current/future term students: Depending on demonstrated need

  • Alumni/retirees: Depending on demonstrated need

  • Guests: Requests can be made by their sponsor and a decision will be made based on business need.

 

How to request access

  • To request a token for use, please submit a ticket and fill out all information requested.

Features

  • Allows you to complete multi-factor authentication without a phone. 

  • Protects your OHIO account from hackers, because a log-in requires both a correct password and access to your hardware token for authentication. 

  • Option to Remember me for 90 days for frequently used browsers and devices.
