If you would like to not unlock your mobile device each time you log in to a University system, you can disable App Lock in the Settings menu of the Microsoft Authenticator app. This will prevent Azure from prompting you to unlock your device when using the app.

App lock is shown disabled, with a red circle around the menu option

Outcome: You should now be able to customize the settings for Azure within the app or on your web browser.
