A network of dedicated videoconferencing classrooms on the Athens campus, regional campuses, and regional centers that support high-quality, real-time, simultaneous interactions between participants in multiple locations.

Prerecorded and Streamed Video: YouTube

YouTube serves as a hosting platform that allows OHIO users to share prerecorded videos or stream live videos publicly.

Prerecorded Video: Microsoft Stream

Microsoft Stream allows OHIO users to stream live content or upload prerecorded University video content for viewing by active OHIO users.

Video Conferencing: Adobe Connect

Video conferencing solution that is web-based but can also be set up with additional hardware and be designed as a multipoint video conferencing solution for instructional purposes.

Virtual Meetings, Chat, Phone: Microsoft Teams

A powerful team-based collaboration tool that provides group chat, channeled conversations, instant messaging, live document collaboration, audio or video calls, and meetings (from one-on-ones to fully-featured audio/video conferences). Teams works in conjunction with other Microsoft applications such as OneDrive and OneNote via Microsoft Groups. Persistent histories make it easy to review past conversations and shared documents.

This feature can be utilized by some staff to organize Town Hall meetings through our M365 team.
